READ ME TEXT FOR ALPHAWORLD


Welcome to AlphaWorld.

The AlphaWorld program is a 3.5MB file, and takes approximately an hour to download.   Before you download, verify the following: 

*Your computer is running Windows 
*Your processor is at least a 486/66 
*Your computer has at least 8MB RAM 
*You have at least 20MB of free disk space. 
    (You may need more if you travel extensively in AlphaWorld.) 
*You have a floating-point processor (most 486s and all Pentiums) 
*Your display can show at least 256 colors under Windows 
*You have a full Internet connection

Follow the instructions carefully, for they are your guide in this adventure.

1.  Download the program.
2.  Immigrate.   You must immigrate to use AlphaWorld!
3.  Go to http://www.worlds.net/alphaworld and choose "become a citizen".
4.  Follow the instructions.  They are:
	-WHAT IS YOUR E-MAIL ADDRESS (you immigration # will be sent to this address)
	-Choose "Become an AlphaWorld Citizen"
	-HOW WOULD YOU LIKE TO IDENTIFY YOURSELF (document and save your identity)
	-PASSWORD (document and save your password)
	-IMMIGRATION NUMBER (this should be in your e-mail in-box)
	-Choose "Process AlphaWorld Immigration Papers"
6.  From the Program Manager open the aworld.ini file. 
7.  Check to see that the last two lines under [citizen] are correct.  They should be as follows:
* name=(name used during the immigration process)
* password=(password used during the immigration process)
8.  Save changes to aworld.ini file.
9.  Double click on the Aworld.exe from the Program Manager to launch AlphaWorld.
