 o  The SCSIserver is a box that plugs into the SCSI bus just like an
    external CD-ROM or disk.  It occupies a single SCSI ID and provides
    a parallel port and from 3 to 128 serial ports, depending on model.
    Up to seven of these can be used per SCSI bus, giving a total of 896
    serial ports and 7 parallel ports per bus.
 o  The 128-port unit uses an SDLC link to tie the 128 ports to the base unit.
    That same SDLC link ties to fiberoptic modems, T1 modems and lines,
    ATT/Paradyne (CRAY) WANs, data PBXs and a host of other items.
