This directory contains one Cmix application and several utilities.
uumix makes 'mix' (don't ask how it got the name uumix!). A general
purpose soundfile mixing and editing program that runs as a CMIX application.

'sndpeak' is an IRCAM program which will find the peak amplitude of each
channel in a soundfile and put that information in the header.

'hist', a general purpose amplitude and frequency plotting
routine.

'rescale' is a general purpose rescaling-to-16-bit-integer program, with lots
of options for splicing etc. It reads a floating point soundfile and
writes a short-integer file. It needs the bsd header with the
peak amplitude stored in the header. It can, however, rescale
a NeXT soundfile if you specify a peak and perhaps a rescaling
factor on the command line.

cpspch and pchcps are simple command line programs to convert
back and forth between cps and 8ve.pch form

I1, I2, F1, F2, i1, i2, f1, f2 are all shell scripts to write
headers, integer and floating point at 22k and 44k.
