The Kirovo-Chepetsk narrow gauge railway, also known as the Karinskaya narrow gauge railway or the Kirovo-Chepetsk rapid transit system
is an old Soviet time narrow gauge railroad, which connects the main part of Kirovo-Chepetsk (Cheptsa river right coast) to Tekhnicheskaya station (Karintorf
suburb area), crossing a bridge over the river. During winter time people living in the suburb can get into town by simply walking over river ice, but at summer
the small railroad remains the only way to get in and out of the suburb. The locomotive is a TU-7.
