Ryanair is an Irish "ultra low-cost carrier" famous for its really cheap ticket prices, but also for charging extra for everything possible. Ryanair uses solely Boeing B737 series aircraft of which it has more than 400. Chairs inside are extremely tightly packed together, so there is really no comfort for the passengers. This one is a B737-800 like almost all of Ryanair's machines. Ryanair has the airlines Buzz, Ryanair UK, Malta Air and Lauda Europe as its subsidiaries.

Lauda Europe is not to be confused with the former Lauda Air. Lauda Air was founded by the famous F1 driver Niki Lauda. In its final stages Lauda Air was a subsidiary of Austrian Airlines for AA's leisure flights. But the present day Lauda Europe, a successor of the now defunct Lauda Air, is now a subsidiary of the famous discount flyer Ryanair. The company is registered in Malta and it flies some of Ryanair's routes, most notably from its base in London Stansted. This Airbus A320 9H-LMC was actually originally a Russian plane flying for Aeroflot. Later it was used for a number of years in India and now it is registerd in Malta. Lauda Europe says it has 29 of these A320 planes in use.
