It's a great way to keep track of all your comics, what to
keep, what to get rid of, what's valuable, and what's not. You can
also add as many covers as your hard drive can handle. Add
information from your favorite comic price guides and you'll be

Subject: DarkLight 1.0, a Kaleidoscope color scheme
DarkLight 1.0 for Kaleidoscope 1.8.X is a tri-tone classic grayscale color
scheme
for apple lovers. It is easy on the eyes. All 18 color accents are active with
the original Kaleidoscope gold tone used in place of the OS8 green-gold accent.
The scheme features custom tabbed pop-up windows with an apple motif, and the
package includes several desktop/window patterns to match and instructions
on how
to get more. Freeware.

Subject: [*] Desktop Icon Manager 1.1
Desktop Icon Manager v1.1 is an AppleScript which records and restores all
icons on the desktop perserving the relative spacing regardless of the monitor
resolution. In other words, Restoring the icon positions will place the icons
in the same area of the screen regardless if you're view in 640x480 or
1280 x 1024 or whatever. Requires AppleScript and scriptable Finder
(MacOS 7.5 or greater).
Version 1.1 does exactly what the original v1.0 does, but considerably faster.

Subject: [*] Desktop Resetter 1.1.1
Do you keep your most used programs and files on your desktop for easy access?
Ever accidently choose Clean Up in the Finder or find that after you played that
fun game which switched your monitor resolution, your icons got all screwed up
and thrown all over your desktop? Especially after you just spent all that time
placing them nice and neatly?
Desktop Resetter will 'remember' where you keep your icons, and if they ever get
moved, just run this program and it will automatically re-arrange them to the
positions you had set them to! It'll
even do it in the background. If you have an '040 processor or better (PPC), it
will probably only take about 2 seconds or so.
What's New?
1.1 - Desktop Resetter now remembers the Trash and Disk icons, has
multi-resolution support, and hot keys!
1.1.1 - Introduces a fix on some machines where it would report a Finder Error
when Auto Switch to Background was
turned on in the preferences.

Dicom2Pict is a simple Drag&Drop application that convert images in the
DICOM format used by many Radiology modalities into PICT images. To use it
simply drag any folder containing Dicom images and the program will
recursively scan whatever is contained in the folder or any subfolder and
will convert it to pict using the information (window level and window
width) contained in the header.
Since I have little time to devote to this program, I distribute it with
the sources and the CodeWarrior project files.

Subject: [*] DragThing 2.5
DragThing 2.5 is a major new version of DragThing with many remarkably
cool features added including pop up dock windows, vertical tabs,
and tab shaped windows. It also introduces DragThing Lite - a smaller,
easier to use DragThing for the rest of us.
The official DragThing web page is also now available at www.dragthing.com
- you can download the latest version of DragThing there and get all
the up-to-date news and information.
DragThing is an application dock designed to tidy up the icons littering
your desktop. Simply drag an application from the Finder onto an empty
square in a dock and then drag documents onto it as normal. In addition,
the docks can contain files, folders, disks, servers and URLs, and there
is also an option to display the currently running processes in a
special dock.
DragThing requires at least System 7.5 and a Macintosh with a minimum of
a
Motorola 68020 or PowerPC 601 processor. Storing URLs in docks requires
the Internet Config extension to be installed, version 1.1 or later. It
is
$15 shareware, and can be registered with Kagi via the web, or with the
enclosed 'Register' program.
Thanks,
James
---
What's new in 2.5?
Now includes these remarkably cool features:
* New DragThing Lite now included - it's a smaller, easier to use
DragThing for the rest of us.
* Dock windows can be set to 'pop' to the front when dragging into them -
all the benefits of floating windows without losing the desktop space.
* Windows now fit around the tabs when the titlebar is hidden,
freeing up more valuable desktop space.
* Tabs and current item name bar can finally be placed vertically at
the left and right hand side of docks.
* Optional sound effects.

Extensions Strip hosts control strip modules in the most flexible and
powerful environment out there. Its theme is "extensions with a global
interface" because control strip modules, especially Extensions Strip savvy
ones, get the best of the extension and application environments. Included
in the package are two FAT binary Extensions Strip savvy modules and
developer examples.
1.5.2 Changes:
- A German translation of Extensions Strip is available through the efforts
of Markus Gloede.
- Includes new versions of Control Panels Strip and Process Manager.
- ES now works on locked volumes. This is nice if you have a CD-RW drive
and want to make a bootable CD.
- Fixed a problem where strips would flicker if the monitor size changed
and the strip wasn't latched to a corner.
- Fixed conflict with the Menu Tasker system extension that would cause the
strips to hide while using popup menus.
- Fixed a flickering problem with MaBaSoft's modules.
- Modules may now modify themselves (introduced for compatibility with
MaBaSoft's World Clock CSM).
- ES only warns you once if you don't have TSM Fix installed.
- If you have ES set to hide in games, pressing ES's hot key will now show
the strips if they've been auto-hidden.
- Recompiled all the source for CodeWarrior IDE 3 and added a Known
Conflicts section to the docs.

RGB III is the logical successor of (freeware) RGB Calculators I and II,

Subject: [*] VOODOO 1.8.1
We are glad to announce the availability of VOODOO v1.8.1,
Due to its reasonable price, its cool stand-alone usability
as well as smooth integration with CodeWarrior and BBEdit,
VOODOO is the ideal tool for software developers, publishers,
web publishers, FileMaker developers, ... - for small and large
groups as well as for single users.
This year, VOODOO received the MacWorld/MacTech Eddy Award
in the category "Best Developer Tool".
The update features a number of new functions as well as some other
improvements:
New features:
+ The new command Add Folder Structure lets you add a whole subtree
of your local workspace to the VOODOO project structure.
+ The new command Reset All Local Paths may be very useful if you have
to move your VOODOO project from one volume to another.
+ The new Auto-Close feature automatically closes a VOODOO project that was
idle for a given time. This is especially useful for
mulit-user environments.
+ A generic compare interface allows you to define additional compare
helper applications.
Other improvements:
+ Leaving design mode is really fast now, regardless how
many nodes were added.
+ Improved Preferences are available for frequently used
options of the Store and Fetch commands.
+ The AppleEvent interface has been improved.
+ The selected line of the history window is now remembered
if the window content or sort order changes.
+ Starting with version 1.8.1, a Japanese
localization of VOODOO is available.
+ Support for comparing files using Word98.
+ The on-line manual is much smaller now because it was created
using eDoc 2.0, which compresses the pictures.
+ Some bug fixes and efficiency improvements took place.

Finder has only been tested on MacOS 8 and up. It is unknown whether it
will work on earlier system versions.
